No Maintenance builds its pants range around two things it knows well: vintage denim and American work trousers. No Maintenance Pants include five-pocket jeans in raw, washed and waxed finishes, plus two tailored work trousers in ripstop and Bedford cotton. Every pair takes a familiar archetype and reworks the details, from darted thighs and twisted out-seams to the signature NM welt back pockets. Who Makes No Maintenance Pants?

No Maintenance is a Los Angeles brand founded in 2020 by Sebastian Moraga and Roe Hodgson, two archive curators who spent years collecting vintage Americana from the 1950s and 1960s. That background shows most clearly in No Maintenance Pants. Arcuate back pockets, button flies and selvedge denim come straight from the vintage jeans the founders studied, while the cuts are updated for the way people dress today.

No Maintenance Jeans make up most of this category. The 202xx Slim Straight Denim in Raw Onyx Black is woven with a black warp and black weft, so it stays deep black for longer, and its pattern-matched front pocket runs into an inverted yoke. The Haze Straight Leg Denim comes in raw indigo with gold contrast thread and a twisted out-seam, or in a washed black that has been stone washed and hand sanded. The Baggy Japanese Denim uses 14oz Japanese selvedge in a faded Dakota Blue wash with whiskers and honeycombs, the Baggy Denim is coated in a resin wax for a weathered black sheen, and the Drifter Flared Denim pairs a darted thigh with a flared leg. Every pair of No Maintenance jeans is cut from 14oz denim, most of it organic cotton.

No Maintenance Work Pants

Beyond denim, No Maintenance Pants include two work trousers with tailored details. The Velum Officer Pants are made from 100% cotton ripstop that has been heavily enzyme washed, with a natural cotton-linen interior facing, a slight J-cut leg, knee darts and a Hollywood-style waistband. The Dylan Pleated Work Pants use washed black Bedford cotton, a ribbed weave known for its strength, with front pleats formed by darts sewn down from the waistband. Both have a YKK zip fly and a straight-leg cut.

The fits run from close to loose. The 202xx Slim Straight is the slimmest, tapering gently and running fitted at the waist. The Haze and the two work trousers sit straight from hip to hem. The Baggy styles are cut wide with a natural drape, and the Drifter is fitted through the thigh before it flares. Raw denim starts firm and softens with every wear, while the washed, waxed and enzyme-washed pairs feel broken in from day one.

How to Style No Maintenance Pants

Straight and slim No Maintenance jeans work with almost anything: a Darted Hoodie and sneakers for the weekend, a leather jacket and boots at night.
